Desire. Written.
An intimate writing experience for those who love reading romance

You know the feeling...when a romance novel gives words to your desire. In real life, you've never whispered them.
What happens if you put your feelings into a story? Where would you begin?
In Desire. Written., you’ll create an intimate short story of 1,000 words or less, and discover what the woman on the page can show you about what you desire and need in your relationship.
THE COST
For years, you've recognized yourself in the pages--the desire, the passion, the want. But you've held back, letting what the stories stir in you remain unspoken.
Maybe you felt it from the slow-burn anticipation, or how they openly expressed passion. Maybe it was in the way they felt wanted, seen, or the object of undivided attention. Maybe it was how they pushed intensity to the limit, exploring desire vs. need.
You know that lingering feeling. The one scene that stays with you. You replay it again and again. You imagine what you would have said or done if you had been that character.
What if you allowed yourself to fully express it to yourself first?
You don't need to call yourself a writer. You just need to be ready to say what you've felt.
Follow that one lingering moment, that "I wish..." and see where your own story takes you.
THE METHOD
From Reader to Writer to Protagonist
Reader. You notice the intimate moments that grab your attention, and a longing begins.
Writer. You give that want a character, a scenario, and a scene. Fiction gives you room to explore what you subconsciously desire and need.
Protagonist. Finish the story, then listen to what it tells you. You get to decide what those words mean for the woman living beyond the page.
IMAGINE
You get to know a character and write about one moment between two people that could go in several surprising directions. You try a line of dialogue, change it, write again, and then suddenly your character says what you've been wanting to say.
On the page, there’s room to be romantic, curious, playful, tender, bold—or even surprised by what you write. By the end of the week, you’ll have a short story that could have only come from you.
IS THIS FOR YOU?
This is for you if…
-
You love reading romance and have wondered what it would feel like to write an intimate story of your own.
-
A scene has made you think, I want to feel something like that.
-
You want clearer language for what you desire and need in your relationship.
-
You’re willing to try writing even if you’ve never thought of yourself as a writer.
-
You want to leave with a finished creative piece, not simply a collection of notes about yourself.
-
You want to find your voice and say what you want without apologizing for it
